Blood Heart

Dragon Class has been home learning this first Spring Half Term. All the staff members of Dragons class are extremely proud of the motivation, determination and effort they have all put into their work during this difficult time where we cannot be together in the classroom. Here is a fabulous selection of the work produced so far. The children have used I.C.T skills for research, developing literacy content such as biographies, Non Chronological reports and poetry. Children have sourced what resources they have at home in order to design and create ART and D.T projects that replicate the heart and the circulatory system. They have worked hard on their mathematical knowledge and also continued to improve and develop their handwriting practise and written work. Children have shown a keen interest in joining all the Zoom meetings/lessons throughout the day and they keep each other positive and motivated through their very mature, positive attitudes. Well done Dragons. We are all proud of you, keep up the good work.

Topic – Beast Creator

Children in Class 4 (Dragons) have been Home Learning over the past 2 weeks. The Topic we have been working on is ‘Beast Creator’. As part of this topic, children learned about areas worldwide where you may find different minibeasts. We have been writing fact files about them and developing flow charts using I.C.T. We have looked into making bug hotels and writing advertisements to encourage bugs to come and stay. Children have started looking at comic strips and the features of how to set one out. They have developed character profiles and designed fictional ‘minibeast’ characters to write and plan their own comic strip. In maths, children have been looking at Fractions – adding, subtracting, ordering and comparing. They have used ‘Zoom’ as a platform to connect with both their teacher and their peers.
